카토비체 소개

Katowice railway station is the main hub of the Upper Silesia conurbation, Poland's most densely urbanised and industrialised region, serving as a key junction on the east-west line between Warsaw and Wrocław and the north-south route toward Kraków and the Czech border. The station underwent a comprehensive reconstruction completed in 2012, replacing a controversial 1970s building with a modern glass-and-steel structure integrated with a shopping centre and bus terminal. Its central location within the Metropolia GZM network of 41 municipalities makes it a critical interchange for the dense regional rail and bus connections of Silesia.
