Manchester Victoria is a historic station that dates to 1844, once the largest station in Britain by platform length, and has been extensively renovated in recent years as part of the city's rail network improvements. It serves routes northward to Yorkshire and the east of the region, and is integrated with Manchester Arena — one of Europe's largest indoor entertainment venues — directly above its platforms. The station is also a key stop on the Metrolink network, linking the city centre with Bury, Rochdale, and the east of the conurbation.

Manchester Victoria is just a few minutes on foot from the city centre retail district of the Arndale and Exchange Square. It is also served directly by Metrolink trams on several lines, making onward travel across Greater Manchester straightforward.

TransPennine Express runs frequent services from Victoria to Leeds, York, and the North East, while Northern Trains covers regional destinations across Lancashire, Yorkshire, and Cumbria. East Midlands Railway also serves Victoria on some cross-Pennine routes.

Manchester Victoria opened in 1844 and served as a major terminus for the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway. The station was extensively rebuilt between 2012 and 2015 and is now integrated with the Manchester Arena, one of Europe's largest indoor entertainment venues.

Manchester Victoria does not currently operate its own staffed left-luggage facility. Passengers needing storage can use services at nearby Manchester Piccadilly, which is reachable via Metrolink in around five minutes.

The station has a dedicated Metrolink stop on the platform level, with trams serving routes to Bury, Rochdale, Altrincham, and the MediaCityUK branch. This makes Victoria one of the best-connected Metrolink interchanges in the Greater Manchester network.
