Aarhus Station is the main railway terminus for Denmark's second-largest city, serving as the central hub for intercity services on the Jutland peninsula. It connects Aarhus with Copenhagen via the Intercity and Intercity-Lyn express services, and provides regional connections northward to Aalborg and southward to Esbjerg and Fredericia. The station is located adjacent to the city's bus terminal, making it the primary multimodal hub for public transport in the Aarhus metropolitan area.

Aarhus station is positioned on the edge of the city centre and the main pedestrian shopping streets are a five-minute walk away. City buses and the light rail (Letbanen) also depart from stops directly outside the station.

DSB operates frequent intercity services between Aarhus and Copenhagen Central, with journey times of around three hours on standard IC trains or slightly less on newer IC3 and Lynette services. Trains depart roughly every hour throughout the day.
