Eglisau Hakkında

Eglisau is a istasyon in the canton of Zürich, Switzerland, perched above the Rhine gorge üzerinde Zürich–Schaffhausen line. S-Bahn hizmetler connect the town için Zürich ve Schaffhausen throughout the day. The istasyon is a scenic stop on one of the most picturesque rail routes in the region.

Eglisau's old town has a row of colourfully painted houses along the Rhine that is one of the most photographed scenes in the Zurich region. The stone bridge and the reformed church above the town complete the picturesque setting. Rhine swimming is popular in summer.

The row of painted houses along the Rhine in Eglisau dates from the 16th to 18th centuries. Their colourful facades, reflected in the river, create an iconic Swiss scene. The town was an important Rhine crossing point since Roman times, and the bridge has been rebuilt several times.
