Luxembourg istasyon is the national rail merkez of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, located at the southern edge of Luxembourg City. The UNESCO-listed old town with its dramatic Bock Casemates and Chemin de la Corniche is within walking distance. The Petrusse Valley, Grand Ducal Palace, and the modern Kirchberg plateau with the Philharmonie and MUDAM museum are all easily accessible by free bus from the station.

The station was built in 1912-1913 in a Moselle Baroque revival style with two prominent clock towers. Its ornate stone facade and richly decorated interior halls make it one of the most architecturally distinguished stations in the Benelux region.
