Andelfingen station is centrally located, a short walk from the main street and the Thur river bridge. The small town is the district capital of the Weinland in Zurich canton.

SBB S-Bahn trains connect Andelfingen to Zurich via Winterthur in about 40 minutes. The station is on the Winterthur-Schaffhausen line. Services run at least hourly.

Andelfingen station has basic commuter facilities. The small town centre is immediately walkable from the station.
