🇨🇭 Bulle

Bulle station is centrally located, about a 5-minute walk from the main square and the medieval castle. The compact Gruyere district town is entirely walkable from the station.

TPF (Transports publics fribourgeois) trains connect Bulle to Fribourg in about 40 minutes. The GFM narrow-gauge line runs to Gruyeres, Montbovon, and connects to the MOB Golden Pass route. Bulle is the rail gateway to the Gruyere region.

Luggage lockers are available at Bulle station. The station has a ticket office and basic amenities. The famous Gruyeres castle village is accessible by a short train ride from Bulle.

Bulle is the market town of the Gruyere district, with a 13th-century castle housing the regional museum. The town is the centre of Gruyere cheese production, with the Maison du Gruyere cheese dairy in nearby Pringy. The medieval hilltop village of Gruyeres is a short train ride away.

Bulle is the nearest major town to Gruyeres and an excellent base. The train to Gruyeres takes about 5 minutes. The Gruyeres castle, the cheese dairy, and the HR Giger Museum (created by the Alien film designer) are all accessible from Bulle as easy day trips.
