🇫🇷 Calais Ville

Calais Ville station is in the town centre, about 2 kilometres from the ferry terminal. A shuttle bus connects the station to the port for foot passengers catching ferries to Dover. Note that Calais-Frethun is the separate station for Eurostar and TGV services.

TER Hauts-de-France regional trains connect Calais Ville to Boulogne-sur-Mer, Lille, and Dunkirk. For TGV and Eurostar services, passengers use Calais-Frethun station, located about 10 kilometres outside town. Regional trains link the two stations.

Luggage storage options at Calais Ville are limited. The station has a ticket office and basic amenities. Travellers connecting to ferries should allow enough time for the transfer to the port terminal.

Rodin's famous sculpture 'The Burghers of Calais' stands outside the town hall near the station. The Cite de la Dentelle et de la Mode celebrates Calais's lace-making heritage. The beach and seafront promenade are a short walk north, with views across the Channel to the English coast.

Calais Ville is the town-centre station for regional trains and local access. Calais-Frethun is the high-speed station near the Channel Tunnel entrance, serving Eurostar trains to London and TGV services to Paris and Lille. A regional train connects the two stations in about 10 minutes.
