Über Košice

Košice Bahnhof serves Slowakei's second largest city and the economic capital of the country's eastern region, positioned at the junction of rail routes verbindend Bratislava with Ukraine and the Polish and Hungarian borders. The Bahnhofsgebäude dates from 1896, with a handsome eclectic façade that reflects the city's prosperity during the Austro-Hungarian era, and connects Košice with Bratislava, Prešov, and internationale Dienste toward Budapest and Prag. The city's growing importance as an industrial centre and UNESCO World Heritage adjacent zone makes its Bahnhof an increasingly significant gateway for the region.
