Über Porto Sao Bento

Porto São Bento is one of Europe's most beautiful Bahnhofs, its grand entrance hall adorned with more than 20,000 azulejo tiles depicting scenes from Portuguese history and rural life, created by artist Jorge Colaço between 1905 and 1916. Built on the site of a former Benedictine convent, the station opened in 1916 as the city-centre terminus and toTag handles Vorortzüge on the Douro, Minho, and Aveiro lines. Though Intercity-Züge use Campanhã, São Bento is the destination for most visitors for its extraordinary artistic heritage and its position at the heart of Porto's historisches Zentrum.
