El túnel ferroviario más largo y profundo del mundo con 57,1 km, que discurre bajo los Alpes suizos entre Erstfeld y Bodio. Inaugurado en 2016 tras 17 años de construcción, constituye la pieza central del proyecto NRLA (Neue Eisenbahn-Alpentransversale), permitiendo el tránsito en ruta llana a través de los Alpes y trasladando las mercancías de la carretera al ferrocarril. Los trenes de pasajeros lo atraviesan a velocidades de hasta 250 km/h.
