La Baule-Escoublac station is about a 10-minute walk from the famous beach. Walk south through the resort town's tree-lined avenues to reach the seafront promenade and the 9-kilometre crescent of sandy beach.

TER Pays de la Loire trains connect La Baule to Nantes in about 70 minutes. In summer, direct TGV services run to Paris Montparnasse in about 3 hours. The station is the main stop for this premier Atlantic coast resort.

Luggage storage at La Baule is limited. The station has a ticket office and basic amenities. The resort town is spread out along the bay, so having accommodation nearby is recommended.

La Baule boasts one of Europe's finest sandy beaches, stretching 9 kilometres in a perfect crescent. The resort has Belle Epoque villas, a casino, and a thalassotherapy centre. The Guerande salt marshes and the medieval walled town of Guerande are a short bus ride away.

La Baule has been a fashionable seaside resort since the late 19th century, when the railway made it accessible from Paris. Its south-facing bay, fine sand, and Art Deco architecture rival the Cote d'Azur. The surrounding Guerande peninsula offers salt marshes, hiking, and the charming port of Le Croisic.
