Rolle station is about a 5-minute walk from the Lake Geneva shore and the castle. Walk south through the small town to reach the lakeside promenade and the medieval chateau that houses the town museum.

SBB regional trains on the Lausanne-Geneva lakeside line serve Rolle, with the journey to either Lausanne or Geneva taking about 25 to 30 minutes. Trains run frequently throughout the day as part of the Leman Express network.

Rolle station is small with limited facilities. The lakeside town is compact enough to explore in an hour or two. For luggage storage, Lausanne or Geneva stations offer full services.

Rolle's 13th-century castle sits directly on the lake shore, now housing municipal offices. The town offers lovely lake promenades with views of the French Alps and Mont Blanc across the water. The Ile de la Harpe, a small island opposite the town, is a local landmark.
