Skopje railway станция serves the capital of North Macedonia and is a haunting symbol of the catastrophic 1963 earthquake that largely destroyed the city — the станция clock was stopped at 5:17 AM, the exact moment of the quake, and the ruined old станция building was preserved as a memorial and now houses the City Museum.
