🇫🇷 Roscoff

Roscoff station is about a 15-minute walk from the old port and the ferry terminal. Walk north through the town to reach the harbour and the Brittany Ferries terminal for services to Plymouth and Cork.

TER Bretagne trains connect Roscoff to Morlaix in about 30 minutes, where TGV connections to Paris are available. The Roscoff line is a branch that terminates at the port. In summer, additional services may run to meet ferry arrivals.

Luggage storage at Roscoff is limited. The station is small with basic facilities. Travellers connecting to ferries should allow time for the walk to the terminal. The old town makes a pleasant stop between train and ferry.

Roscoff's old town has granite Renaissance houses and the ornate Notre-Dame de Croaz-Batz church. The Jardin Exotique et Botanique de Roscoff showcases subtropical plants thriving in the mild Gulf Stream climate. The Ile de Batz is accessible by a short boat crossing from the old port.

Roscoff is famous for its pink onions and the Johnnies — Breton onion sellers who crossed the Channel to sell strings of onions door-to-door in Britain from the 1820s onwards. This tradition, which created the British stereotype of French people with berets and onions, is celebrated in a local museum.
