Bruxelles-Central is the most centrally located of Brussels' three main railway stations, sitting just below the historic upper town and within easy walking distance of the Grand Place and major government buildings. Although smaller than Bruxelles-Midi, it serves a wide range of domestic intercity and regional trains and acts as a key stop on the north-south tunnel that links all three Brussels stations. Its position in the heart of the city makes it the preferred arrival point for many leisure travellers visiting the Belgian capital.

Bruxelles-Central is the closest mainline station to the Grand Place, located just a five-minute walk away. Exit via the Cantersteen exit and follow the signs downhill towards the historic centre.
Bruxelles-Central does not have a direct metro station directly beneath it, but Gare Centrale station on metro lines 1 and 5 is accessible via a short walk through the underground passage. It connects you to Midi, Schuman, and Stockel across the network.
