🇨🇭 Brünig-Hasliberg

Brünig-Hasliberg station is on the Zentralbahn Luzern–Interlaken line, located near the Brünig Pass summit at 1,002 meters. The rack railway section connects to Meiringen and onward to Interlaken.

Zentralbahn (zb) operates the Luzern–Interlaken Express through Brünig-Hasliberg. This scenic route uses rack-and-pinion technology to climb the steep Brünig Pass.

Brünig-Hasliberg station has a platform shelter and connects to the Hasliberg cable car system. The station serves as a mountain access point with parking available for resort visitors.

Hasliberg is a family-friendly mountain resort offering skiing in winter and hiking in summer. The Muggestutz dwarf trail is popular with children, and the area provides views of the Bernese Alps and the Aare gorge below.

The Brünig railway, opened in 1888, was one of Switzerland's early rack railways and the only metre-gauge line operated by the federal railway system. The Brünig Pass has been a vital crossing between central and western Switzerland since prehistoric times.
