Buchs SG station is the closest Swiss railway station to Liechtenstein. LIEmobil buses run from the station to Vaduz, the capital, in about 20 minutes. The Swiss-Liechtenstein border is just across the Rhine bridge.

SBB trains connect Buchs to Zurich in about 75 minutes and to Sargans in about 10 minutes. OBB Railjet trains to Vienna and Innsbruck also stop here. The station is an important Swiss-Austrian border crossing point.
