🇨🇭 Scuol-Tarasp

Scuol-Tarasp is the terminus of the Rhaetian Railway Engadin line from Landquart, taking about 2 hours. The journey through the Prattigau valley and the Lower Engadin is one of Switzerland's most scenic rail rides, crossing the famous Langwieser Viaduct.

Rhaetian Railway operates hourly regional trains from Landquart to Scuol-Tarasp. At Landquart, connections are available to Zurich, Chur, and the rest of the Swiss rail network. PostBus services continue from Scuol to the Val Mustair and the Italian border.

Luggage lockers are available at Scuol-Tarasp station. The station is compact and sits at the edge of the village, with the thermal spa and old town within walking distance.

Scuol is known for its mineral springs and the Bogn Engiadina thermal spa. The dramatic Tarasp Castle perches on a rock above the Inn river valley. The Swiss National Park, the country's only national park, is accessible by PostBus from Scuol.

The Lower Engadin around Scuol is one of Switzerland's most unspoiled regions. The villages feature traditional sgraffito-decorated Engadin houses. Romansh, Switzerland's fourth national language, is widely spoken here. The area offers hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing.
