Le tunnel ferroviaire le plus long et le plus profond du monde avec 57,1 km, traversant les Alpes suisses entre Erstfeld et Bodio. Ouvert en 2016 après 17 ans de construction, il constitue la pièce maîtresse du projet NLFA (Nouvelle ligne ferroviaire à travers les Alpes), permettant un transit à plat à travers les Alpes et le transfert du fret de la route vers le rail. Les trains de voyageurs le traversent à des vitesses allant jusqu'à 250 km/h.
