Foire aux questions

Rouen Rive Droite station is centrally located on the north bank of the Seine, about a 10-minute walk from the cathedral and old town. The Rue Jeanne d'Arc leads directly south from the station towards the main historic sights. Metro and bus services are available from the station forecourt.
Intercites and TER Normandie trains connect Rouen to Paris Saint-Lazare in about 70 minutes, with frequent departures throughout the day. Regional services run to Le Havre, Dieppe, Caen, and other Normandy destinations. The station is the main rail hub for Upper Normandy.
Luggage lockers are available inside the station. The station has a ticket hall, several shops, cafes, and a waiting area. Its central location makes it convenient for day trips from Paris to explore the city.
Rouen's Gothic cathedral, famously painted by Monet, is within walking distance. The Gros Horloge astronomical clock, the Place du Vieux-Marche where Joan of Arc was executed, and the half-timbered medieval streets of the old town are all accessible on foot from the station.
The current station building dates from 1928, replacing an earlier 19th-century structure. It was designed in an Art Deco style with a distinctive clock tower. The Paris-Rouen line, opened in 1843, was one of the earliest railway routes in France.
