Tiefencastel est une gare du Chemin de fer rhétique (RhB) dans le canton des Grisons, située au confluent de l'Albula et de la Julia, dans la région de Mittelbünden, en Suisse orientale. Elle se trouve sur la ligne historique de l'Albula — un chemin de fer classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO — et dessert les trains entre Chur et St. Moritz, qui empruntent l'un des parcours ferroviaires de montagne les plus spectaculaires d'Europe. Le village est également une porte d'entrée pour la randonnée et le cyclisme dans les vallées environnantes de l'Albula et de la Surses.

Tiefencastel is on the Rhaetian Railway Albula line, about 60 minutes from Chur. The station sits at the junction of the Albula and Julia valleys, where the roads to Julier Pass and Albula Pass diverge.

Rhaetian Railway trains on the Chur-St. Moritz line stop at Tiefencastel. PostBus connections from the station serve the Julier Pass route and the Savognin ski area.
