부다페스트 소개

Budapest-Nyugati (Western Station) is a celebrated iron-and-glass terminus designed by the Eiffel Company of Paris and completed in 1877, making it one of the most architecturally notable railway buildings in Europe. It primarily handles domestic services to northern Hungary and towards the Slovak border, complementing the international traffic concentrated at Keleti. The station's striking glazed facade on the Grand Boulevard is a beloved feature of the Budapest cityscape.

자주 묻는 질문

Nyugati station is located on the Grand Boulevard (Nagykörút) directly above Metro Line 3 (M3, the blue line), giving instant access to Deák Ferenc tér and Kálvin tér. Multiple tram lines run along the boulevard directly in front of the station.
The station was designed and built in 1877 by the Eiffel Company of Paris, the same firm behind the Eiffel Tower, using a spectacular iron-and-glass train shed that remains largely intact today. It is one of the finest examples of 19th-century railway architecture in Central Europe.
Nyugati serves regional and domestic intercity trains to northern Hungary, Miskolc, and Debrecen, as well as some international services toward Bratislava and Prague. Local suburban (HÉV) and commuter trains also use platforms at or near the station.
A left-luggage office is available inside Nyugati during station opening hours. The grand main hall also houses cafés and shops, making it a comfortable place to wait between trains.
The station sits at the junction of the Grand Boulevard and Váci út, close to the Westend City Center shopping mall and the fashion and dining streets of the Sixth and Seventh districts. The Great Synagogue on Dohány utca is about a ten-minute walk away.
