Morges is a charming lakeside station on the northern shore of Lake Geneva in the canton of Vaud, served by the busy SBB mainline between Lausanne and Geneva with frequent InterRegio and S-Bahn services throughout the day. The town is known for its medieval castle, its tulip festival, and its picturesque lakefront promenade, all within easy walking distance of the station. Morges also serves as the terminus of the Morges–Bière–Apples regional railway that threads through the rolling wine country and forest landscape of the Vaud uplands.

SBB RegioExpress and InterRegio trains on the busy Lausanne–Geneva main line stop at Morges, with departures every 15 to 30 minutes in each direction. The journey to Lausanne takes around ten minutes and to Geneva around 30 minutes.
Morges is known for its impressive lakeside château (now a military museum), the Tulip Festival held in spring in the Parc de l'Indépendance, and the panoramic views of the Alps across Lake Geneva. The town is also the birthplace of conductor Igor Markevitch and has a lively cultural calendar.
CGN (Compagnie Générale de Navigation) boat services call at Morges port during the sailing season, providing connections to Ouchy-Lausanne, Nyon, and Geneva. The port is a short walk from the station, and Belle Époque paddle steamers are sometimes rostered on these routes.
