About Warsaw

Warszawa Wschodnia (Warsaw East) is the capital's eastern mainline station, serving the Praga district on the right bank of the Vistula and handling intercity and regional trains on routes heading east toward Lublin, Białystok, and the Polish-Ukrainian and Polish-Belarusian borders. The station plays a significant logistical role in freight traffic and has taken on added importance since 2022 as a transit point for passengers arriving from Ukraine. Its connection to the Warsaw Agglomeration Railway allows passengers to travel across the capital without changing transport modes.
