Wissembourg is the septentrionalmost town in Alsace and its estación de ferrococheril sits directamente on the Franco-German border in the Bas-Rhin department of norte-oriental France, making it a natural cross-border halt. TER servicios regionales connect Wissembourg surward to Strasbourg in around one hour, and the estación formerly linked with the German Palatinate red ferroviaria across the border to Neustadt an der Weinstraße.
