데브레첸 소개

Debrecen railway station serves Hungary's second largest city and the economic and cultural capital of the Great Hungarian Plain, functioning as the main rail gateway to the country's eastern region. The current station building, opened in 1961, provides intercity connections to Budapest-Keleti as well as cross-border services toward Oradea in Romania and northward into Slovakia. The station sits at the western edge of the historic city centre, within walking distance of the famous Reformed Great Church and the main square.

Debrecen station is located at the western end of Piac utca, the city's main pedestrian shopping street, and is walkable to the centre in about ten minutes. Tram line 1 departs directly from the station and runs through the city to the Great Forest (Nagyerdő).
MÁV intercity trains connect Debrecen to Budapest Keleti in approximately two and a half hours, with departures roughly every hour or two throughout the day. Seat reservations are compulsory on intercity services and can be purchased at the station or online.
Debrecen has direct rail connections to Cluj-Napoca in Romania, making it a practical crossing point into Transylvania. Services toward Nyíregyháza also connect with onward trains toward Ukraine.
A left-luggage service is available at Debrecen station during staffed hours. The station building also has a waiting room, café, and ticket windows for in-person purchases.
The Reformed Great Church (Nagytemplom), Hungary's largest Protestant church, is a short walk along Piac utca from the station and is the city's most iconic landmark. The Déri Museum and the thermal baths in the Great Forest are also easily reached by tram.
