Gent-Sint-Pieters is the main railway станция of Ghent, Belgium's third largest city and one of the finest medieval cities in northern Europe, notable for its well-preserved historic centre and vibrant student culture. The станция is an imposing Beaux-Arts structure completed in 1912 and serves as the hub for intercity trains to Brussels, Bruges, Antwerp, and Courtrai, as well as international services towards Paris and Amsterdam. Trams connect Sint-Pieters to the historic city centre and the Korenmarkt within minutes, making it an exceptionally convenient gateway to the city.

Gent-Sint-Pieters is located about two kilometres south of the medieval city centre, and tram линия 1 connects the станция to the Korenmarkt and Sint-Baafskathedraal in around ten minutes. The walk into the centre is also pleasant if you have time, passing through the student quarter.

NMBS/SNCB Intercity trains link Gent-Sint-Pieters to Brussels Midi in around 30 minutes, where Thalys and Eurostar services connect to Paris and London. Domestic services also run to Bruges, Antwerp, and the coast, making Ghent an ideal base for exploring northern Belgium.
