Budapest-Déli (Southern Station) is one of the three major rail termini in the Hungarian capital, situated on the Buda side of the Danube and primarily handling domestic services to western and south-western Hungary, including the Balaton lake region. Opened in 1861 and substantially rebuilt in the 1970s with a modernist concrete structure, it connects directly to Metro line 2 for quick access to central Pest.
