Imperia is the ga chính of the Ligurian city of the same name on the Italian Riviera di Ponente, serving a city formed from the historic rival settlements of Porto Maurizio and Oneglia. The Fratelli Carli olive oil company has operated here since 1911, and their Museo dell'Olivo traces 6,000 years of olive oil history. The Ligurian hills produce some of Italy's finest oils.
