Firenze Campo di Marte is Florence's secondary railway station, located on the eastern side of the city near the Campo di Marte sports complex and the Affrico neighbourhood. It primarily handles regional trains on routes towards Arezzo, Pontassieve, and the Mugello, acting as a useful alternative entry point for travellers approaching Florence from the east. While considerably smaller than Santa Maria Novella, it offers convenient access to residential and sporting areas of the city without the congestion of the main terminus.

Tram line T1 connects Campo di Marte with Santa Maria Novella main station and the city centre, taking around 15 minutes. Buses also serve the station, or it is roughly a 25-minute walk through the Sant'Ambrogio neighbourhood.
Campo di Marte is a secondary Florence station primarily serving regional Trenitalia trains on the routes toward Arezzo, Pontassieve, and the Casentino valley. Some intercity trains also call here as a Florence alternative stop.
Campo di Marte does not have a dedicated left-luggage service; passengers needing storage should use the facilities at nearby Firenze Santa Maria Novella, which is well-equipped and reachable by tram or bus.
The station is close to the Stadio Artemio Franchi, home of ACF Fiorentina, as well as the Fiesole hill to the north with its panoramic views over Florence. The Sant'Ambrogio market and Piazza Ghiberti are a short walk away.
For visitors staying in the Oltrarno, Santa Croce, or eastern Florence neighbourhoods, Campo di Marte can be a more convenient arrival point than the main station. Check in advance whether your train stops there as not all services do.
