Lyon Perrache is the historic terminus station of Lyon, located on a narrow peninsula between the Rhône and Saône rivers at the southern tip of the Presqu'île. It was the city's main station for much of the 20th century and continues to serve TER regional trains, intercity services, and a range of Lyonnais metro and tram lines. Although overshadowed by Part-Dieu for high-speed traffic, Perrache remains an important transport hub and is home to a major bus terminal that supplements its rail connections.

Lyon Perrache is located at the southern tip of the Presqu'île peninsula and the city centre is within easy walking distance heading north. Metro line A and tram lines T1 and T2 also serve the station directly.
Most TGV services now use Lyon Part-Dieu as the primary high-speed station. Perrache handles TGV services on some routes alongside regional TER trains, Intercités, and coach services. Always check your ticket as both stations serve some of the same intercity routes.
