Massy TGV is a purpose-built high-speed rail station on the outskirts of Paris, located in the Essonne department and designed to allow TGV services to bypass central Paris terminals when travelling between the LGV Atlantique and the LGV Sud-Est or LGV Méditerranée lines. It is directly connected to the RER B and RER C lines, providing access to central Paris, Orly Airport, and the broader Île-de-France network without the need to travel into the congested city centre. The station is particularly useful for travellers making cross-country connections between Brittany or the Atlantic coast and Lyon, Marseille, or Montpellier.

RER B trains connect Massy-Palaiseau station (a short walk from Massy TGV) to central Paris, reaching Châtelet–Les Halles in around 25 minutes. The two stations are linked by a covered walkway and signposted interchange.
Massy TGV is served by TGV Atlantique trains to Tours, Bordeaux, Nantes, and Rennes, as well as some services on the LGV Sud-Est to Lyon and the south. It is a key interchange for passengers travelling between the Atlantic and Mediterranean TGV networks.
Massy TGV has a full SNCF ticket office, automated machines, a café, and a car park. The station is designed primarily as a through stop rather than a destination, so facilities are functional rather than extensive.
Massy TGV does not have self-service luggage lockers. Passengers needing storage are advised to use facilities at Paris Montparnasse or Gare du Nord when passing through Paris, or arrange storage through a commercial provider in the Massy area.
