Paris Montparnasse is the main terminus for TGV high-speed services to western and southwestern France, connecting Paris with destinations including Nantes, Bordeaux, Rennes, and the Spanish border. Rebuilt in the 1960s as part of the regeneration of the Left Bank Montparnasse quarter, the station is incorporated into the base of the Tour Montparnasse skyscraper and the surrounding commercial complex. It is also a major interchange for Paris metro lines and serves Transilien commuter trains to the suburbs south and west of the city.
