Saint-Étienne Châteaucreux is the Hauptbahnhof of Saint-Étienne, the industrial city at the heart of the Loire department and the leading coal and steel city of 19th-century Frankreich. TGV services connect Saint-Étienne with Paris Lyon in under drei Stunden, while TER Regionalzüge link it with Lyon Part-Dieu in etwa 50 Minuten, Clermont-Ferrand, and the scenic Dore valley line to Ambert.
