Saint-Georges-d'Aurac is a small station in the Haute-Loire department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region im Herzen von the French Massif Central, situated at a high-altitude junction in the volcanic Velay plateau. It is a junction point on the TER Netz where the line from Brioude and Clermont-Ferrand meets the scenic Cévenol route heading southward via La Bastide-Puylaurent towards Nîmes. The station, standing at over 900 metres, serves a very sparse local population and functions hauptsächlich as an operational halt on one of Frankreich's most scenic and remote Bahnstrecken.
