When complete, the journey time would be reduced from 2h45m to under 1h30m. A cross-border 高速 connection to マドリード via Badajoz is also planned, which would transform the current 10+ hour overnight train between the two capitals into a 2.5-hour daytime journey. ポルトガル is part of the ユーレイル/インターレール Global Pass. ポルトガル鉄道 tickets are sold via ポルトガル鉄道.pt and the ポルトガル鉄道 app; advance Preco Especial fares offer savings of 30-60% versus standard fares. International services to マドリード (Lusitania Comboio Hotel overnight train via Badajoz) and to Vigo/Galicia are operated jointly with レンフェ.
