Paris Gare de Lyon is one of the busiest and most recognisable of Paris's mainline termini, serving as the departure point for TGV high-speed trains to southeastern France including Marseille, Lyon, and the French Alps, as well as international services to Switzerland, Italy, and Spain. Its iconic 19th-century clock tower and the celebrated grand brasserie Le Train Bleu within the station make it one of the most architecturally distinguished railway stations in France. The station also serves as a major hub for Paris's RER A and D lines, connecting it to the city's rapid transit network.
