Gent-Sint-Pieters is the Hauptbahnhof of Gent, Belgien's third largest city and one of the finest medieval cities in northern Europe, notable for its well-preserved historisches Zentrum and vibrant student culture. The station is an imposing Beaux-Arts structure completed in 1912 and serves as the hub for Intercity-Züge to Brüssel, Brügge, Antwerpen, and Courtrai, sowie internationale Dienste towards Paris and Amsterdam. Trams connect Sint-Pieters to the historisch Stadtzentrum and the Korenmarkt within Minuten, was es an exceptionally convenient gateway to the city.

NMBS/SNCB Intercity-Züge link Gent-Sint-Pieters to Brüssel Midi in etwa 30 Minuten, where Thalys and Eurostar services connect to Paris and London. DomestIC-Dienste also run to Brügge, Antwerpen, and the coast, making Gent an ideal base for exploring northern Belgien.
