Über Morges

Morges is a charming lakeside station on the northern shore of Lake Genf in the canton of Vaud, served by the busy SBB mainline between Lausanne and Genf with frequent InterRegio and S-Bahn-Dienste den ganzen Tag. The town is known for its medieval castle, its tulip festival, and its picturesque lakefront promenade, all within easy Gehweite of the station. Morges also serves as der Kopfbahnhof of the Morges–Bière–Apples regional railway that threads through the rolling wine country and forest landscape of the Vaud uplands.

CGN (Compagnie Générale de Navigation) boat services call at Morges port during the sailing season, providing Verbindungen to Ouchy-Lausanne, Nyon, and Genf. The port is a kurzer Fußweg vom Bahnhof, and Belle Époque paddle steamers are sometimes rostered on these routes.
