Longwy estación serves the fortified town of Longwy in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department of noreste France, close to the borders with Luxembourg and Belgium. TER Grand Est trenes connect it to Metz and the wider cross-border red ferroviaria of this former iron-and-steel industrial region.

The hexagonal star-shaped fortification is remarkably well-preserved and was inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage in 2008 as part of the Vauban network.
