Antwerpen-Centraal is one of the most architecturally celebrated railway stations in Europe, renowned for its grand neo-Gothic facade and spectacular vaulted iron-and-glass roof, completed in 1905. It serves as the main intercity hub for Antwerp, with direct high-speed Thalys and Eurostar connections to Paris, London, and Amsterdam in addition to extensive domestic NMBS services. An extensive underground expansion in the early 2000s added two extra levels of tracks, allowing through-running services and significantly increasing the station's capacity.
