Bad Ragaz station is about a 10-minute walk from the Tamina Therme spa complex. The thermal waters originate from the Tamina Gorge behind the town. Local buses connect the station to the spa area and the gorge entrance.

SBB InterRegio trains on the Zurich-Chur line stop at Bad Ragaz, with the journey from Zurich taking about 75 minutes. Regional trains provide additional connections. The station is on the mainline Rhine valley route.

Luggage lockers are available at Bad Ragaz station. The station has a ticket office and basic facilities. The town's spa quarter with its grand hotels is within easy walking distance.

The Tamina Therme spa complex uses natural 36.5°C thermal water from the Tamina Gorge. The dramatic Tamina Gorge itself, where the thermal springs were first discovered by monks in 1242, is open for visits. The town also has a notable sculpture trail and several luxury spa hotels.

The thermal springs in the Tamina Gorge were discovered by monks from the Pfafers Abbey in 1242. Initially, patients were lowered into the gorge on ropes to bathe. The water was later channelled down to Bad Ragaz, which developed into one of Switzerland's most distinguished spa towns.
