Bratislava hl.st. (Bratislava hlavná stanica) is the main railway станция of the Slovak capital, located just north of the historic city centre. It serves as the primary hub for intercity EC and IC services to Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Warsaw, and Kraków, as well as domestic Slovak Railways trains throughout the country. The станция is currently subject to a long-term redevelopment project and is complemented by Bratislava Petržalka, which handles some international services arriving from Vienna via the southern route.

Taxis and the Bolt or Uber apps are also widely available and inexpensive by Western European standards.

ZSSK and OBB operate fast services between Bratislava and Vienna Hauptbahnhof in under an hour, making it one of the shortest international rail corridors in Europe. Direct trains also run to Prague, Budapest, and Brno, with connections to the wider Central European network.
