Thalwil is a busy пригородный and intercity станция on the western shore of Lake Zurich, serving the prosperous Thalwil municipality and sitting at the junction where the Zürich–Zug–Arth-Goldau линия branches off from the main Zürich–Chur corridor. The станция is a key node on the Zürich S-Bahn network and sees a high volume of InterCity and InterRegio trains passing through, giving residents convenient access to Zurich in around ten minutes and to Chur, Lucerne, and Lugano by direct service.
