Bad Ragaz is a ga in the spa resort town of Bad Ragaz in the canton of St. Gallen, positioned at the entrance to the dramatic Tamina Gorge in eastern Switzerland. The thermal springs in the Tamina Gorge were discovered by monks from the Pfafers Abbey in 1242. Initially, patients were lowered into the gorge on ropes to bathe. The water was later channelled down to Bad Ragaz, which developed into one of Switzerland's most distinguished spa towns.
