🇨🇭 Davos Dorf

Davos Dorf is on the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) line from Landquart, where you connect from mainline SBB services. The journey from Landquart takes about 60 minutes. The line climbs through the Prattigau valley with impressive mountain scenery.

Rhaetian Railway operates services from Landquart to Davos, with Davos Dorf being the first of two Davos stations (the other is Davos Platz). In winter, additional ski trains supplement the regular service. The station is also on the route of some Glacier Express segments.

Luggage lockers are available at Davos Dorf station. The station is compact with a ticket office. The Parsenn ski area cable car departs from near the station, making it the preferred arrival point for skiers.

Davos Dorf is closest to the Parsenn and Jakobshorn ski areas. In summer, the surrounding mountains offer excellent hiking. The Kirchner Museum in nearby Davos Platz houses the world's largest collection of works by Expressionist painter Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.

Davos hosts the annual World Economic Forum, bringing global leaders to the resort town each January. The town was also a famous tuberculosis sanatorium destination in the 19th century, inspiring Thomas Mann's novel 'The Magic Mountain.' At 1,560 metres, it is one of Europe's highest towns.
