Acerca de Meilen

Meilen is a junto al lago estación on the oriental shore of Lake Zürich in the canton of Zürich, served by the S-Bahn línea running between Zürich Hauptbahnhof and Rapperswil along the so-called 'Gold Coast' — a stretch of junto al lago communities popular for their meridional aspect, residenteial character, and proximity to the city. The estación is principalmente used by viajeros habituales and leisure viajeros heading to the lake's bathing areas and boat piers, from which lake steamers operate de temporadaly. Frequent S6 and S16 servicios make Meilen fácilmente reachable from Zürich in around 25 minutes.

The Goldkuste (Gold Coast) is the sun-favoured eastern shore of Lake Zurich between Zollikon and Rapperswil. Towns like Meilen enjoy more sunshine than the opposite shore and have been desirable residential areas since the 19th century. The name refers both to the sunshine and the affluent character.
