Dresden Hbf is the main railway станция of Dresden, the capital of Saxony and one of Germany's most celebrated cultural cities, renowned for its Baroque architecture and world-class museums. It is served by ICE высокоскоростной trains to Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, and Hamburg, as well as EuroCity international services to Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. The station's striking arched steel roof, renovated in the early 2000s, is itself a landmark, and its central location makes it the ideal starting point for exploring the Zwinger, the Semperoper, and the rebuilt Frauenkirche.

Dresden Hauptbahnhof is on the southern edge of the Altstadt, and the Zwinger, Semperoper, and Frauenkirche are all within 20 minutes on foot heading north. Trams 8 and 9 stop outside the станция and provide a quick link to Postplatz in the heart of the old town.

Deutsche Bahn IC and ICE trains connect Dresden to Frankfurt, Nuremberg, and Hamburg, while EuroCity services reach Prague in under two hours. Regional services to Leipzig, Görlitz, and Chemnitz are frequent throughout the day.
