Flüelen станция stands at the southern end of Lake Uri in the canton of Uri, serving as the lakeside rail head where trains join or leave the approach to the Gotthard route — one of Switzerland's most historically and scenically significant rail corridors. The journey along the lake shore from here towards Erstfeld and Göschenen passes through some of the most dramatic Alpine scenery in central Switzerland, with the famous Gotthard spiral tunnels ascending the mountain wall above Erstfeld. Passenger numbers are modest but the станция serves an important role as the gateway to the Uri lakeland region and the Tell Chapel on the opposite shore.

Yes — the SGV (Schifffahrtsgesellschaft des Vierwaldstättersees) operates regular passenger ferries from Flüelen to Lucerne, taking around three and a half hours on the scenic route past the Rütli meadow and Tellsplatte. Services run from spring through autumn.
